2019 Ahrens' Creek Ancestor Vine Shiraz

$320.00

This very old Shiraz vineyard was planted in the 1870s and is a true natural wonder. The vineyard has been substantially overhauled, increasing vine health and yields. Our fiest vintage was 2014 which received 96 points from James Halliday. The wine shows magnificent fruit and intensity and subtle characteristics of a top-line Barossa Shiraz.

  • Vineyard & Vintage Comments: 2019 was one of the great years in the Barossa for Shiraz, and our third vintage of Ahrens Creek Shiraz from our ancestor 1870s vines. The latter have a wonderful deep purple red aspect, with beautiful intense complex dark berry nose which is reflected on the opulent but understated palate. A truly unique and intense wine which has received very high accolades.
